This Saturday Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will face each other in the Bundesliga, a match that raised alarm among the authorities after a terrorist threat.
A media outlet affiliated with ISIS published some images showing the Allianza Arena and a target on them. This could represent a possible danger for Bayern’s stadium in the German Classic.
“There are currently no indications of a serious danger situation. However, police presence will be increased at this afternoon’s game. Around 100 emergency force personnel were supposed to be on the scene regularly, but now they will be reinforced with more officers,” a German police spokesperson told T-Online, a Munich media outlet.
Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund will face each other in a match that could leave the title on a silver platter for Bayer Leverkusen.
Leverkusen is at the top of the Bundesliga table with 70 points in 26 games, while Bayern follows 10 points behind. and needs pure victories in the final stretch of the championship.
This weekend Leverkusen will face Hoffenheim at home and will seek to remain undefeated in more than 30 consecutive games.
Xabi Alonso decides to stay at Leverkusen
Spanish coach Xabi Alonso confirmed this Friday at a press conference that he will remain at the helm of Bayer Leverkusen in the German Bundesliga for at least another year.
“My work at Bayer is not over yet. I want to help the club, help the players to continue developing, the board is great… everything is fantastic here. I’m still a young coach, but I think this is the best decision for my future. I have taken my time and I am sure of it,” said the 42-year-old coach, in statements reported by the newspaper “Bild”.
He revealed that last week he had a “good conversation” with the club’s leadership, in which he informed them that he wanted to continue at Bayer Leverkusen, and that this morning he informed the team of his decision.
“Even so it has been a normal day, we have to prepare for the weekend game. After this press conference, I am totally focused on it. The players have coped well during these turbulent weeks,” he said.
