Henry Martín is an experienced forward in Mexican soccer. The Águilas del América attacker is one of the highest-rated Aztec scorers in Liga MX. Chivas de Guadalajara have tried to hire him, but Martín has turned his back on them.

On subsequent occasions, Club América stood in the way. On the first occasion, the azulcremas managed to convince Henry Martín; in the second, The Sacred Flock directive was not clear enough with the experienced Mexican attacker.
“The second was when my transfer to América took place, I was between Chivas and América, then I met Piojo Herrera, we talked and I ended up going to América (…) The third was with Peláez, who spoke and said, there he gossiped about some things. He didn’t finish telling how it was. Santiago (Baños) comes up to me and says: ‘We don’t want to stop your career, you’re not going to play much here.’ I was going through a bad time, with the fans my situation was fatal, with the club it was not bad, but I was not performing and in America you know that it is perform or you leave,” he added.
Henry Martín accumulates more than 300 games in the Liga MX. His most notable steps were with the Xolos de Tijuana and the Águilas del América. The 31-year-old veteran attacker accumulates 100 goals in the first division and 50 assists. The former Venados de Yucatán attacker has proven to be a performing forward in the tournament, a whim that Chivas have not been able to fulfill.
