Regarding her own adaptation to life in Miami, Shakira confessed that at first she missed Barcelona and the whole lifestyle she led with Milan and Sasha, but over time has learned to love his new life in the sunny Florida city. The Colombian singer also highlighted how happy she is to be able to spend more time with her children now that they are closer to her family.
“A good part of my family is here in Miami and my children have adapted very well. They are very happy, very happy here. They are learning music, playing sports. They already have their group of inseparable friends,” he began by saying in an interview that he offered to ‘El Gordo y La Flaca’.
The Colombian also talked about what it has been like for her to be able to spend more time with her children and be more present in their daily lives. Although she sometimes misses the tranquility and privacy that she had at one point in her life, she assures that it has been a very wise decision and that she is very happy with the results.
“I go with them everywhere, trying to combine a little of everything: my profession, my work and my life with them,” he said in front of the Univision cameras.
Shakira feels completely happy with her new life in Miami and considers that it has been a great change for everyone, which is why she did not hesitate to highlight what one of her children loves to do.
“Milan and Sasha participate a lot in my life, they visit me a lot in the recording studio and they see firsthand what the creative process is like, the process of using music as a channel, as a vehicle of expression,” he said.
However, he did not want to end the interview without first mentioning that: “Milan plays the drums very well, plays the piano, writes songs. Sasha is also learning the guitar and sometimes the three of us get to play and sing together. It is very nice because I see that they have inherited that part, but they also live it,” she added during the conversation with Lili Estefan.
