James Marsden is a popular American actor, known for having played Tom in the two live action Sonic the Hedgehog films. In a recent interview, Marsden revealed that filming for the third installment of the blue hedgehog has already come to an end, which is good news, since this film will be released in theaters in December of this year.
Sonic The Hedgehog 3 is getting closer!
Because he just starred in the movie Knox Goes Away Along with Michael Keaton, James Marsden gave an interview with the YouTube channel The Playlist. When the interviewer told him that he and his son enjoyed his performance in both Sonic the Hedgehog movies, Marsden responded: «Actually, we just finished (recording). I feel very proud of what we created and the response from the fans. “We had to get the animation right on the first film, but it’s a great, very positive family,” in reference to when paramount was forced to change Sonic’s horrendous design due to fan complaints.
Marsden then recounted: «Jim Carrey is having a lot of fun, he is in the inspiration zone. So it’s a pleasure to see him having such a good time, really enjoying it again. He’s great, and I’m very lucky to be a part of this. “I think fans are going to be very excited about all the new characters.”. It was recently confirmed that, despite having expressed his desire to retire from acting, Jim Carrey will return to play Dr. Eggman in Sonic The Hedgehog 3, which made many fans happy. And luckily, based on what James Marsden said, it sounds like he had a lot of fun in this role again.
Another interesting part of James Marsden’s answer was the mention of new characters. We know that Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will tell the story of Shadow the Hedgehog, which will be really exciting for fans of the character. On the other hand, it is also known that the actors will join the cast Krysten Ritter, Cristo Fernandez and Alyla Browne, but it is not known who they are going to interpret. Although fans speculate that this could mean we’ll see characters like Rouge the Bat either Maria. It was also confirmed that all the important actors from the previous installments will reprise their roles, such as Ben Schwartz (Sonic), Colleen O’Shaughnessey (Tails), Idris Elba (Knuckles) and of course James Marsden.
This all sounds very exciting and the fact that they have already finished filming the film is a good sign, because now the studio has more than 9 months to work on the special effects. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will be released in theaters next December 20th and we can’t wait.
