Taylor Swift fans received good news when they found out that the artist’s catalog is once again available on the social network TikTok.
After their songs were disabled on the platform, this Thursday it was learned that their songs can now be enjoyed, either to make a trend or to set music to some material generated by content creators.
Among the songs you can enjoy are ‘Lover’, ‘Anti-Hero’, ‘Cruel Summer’, ‘Cardigan’, ‘Style’, ‘Love Story’, ‘Shake It Off’, among others.
An important fact is that this revival comes shortly before the singer releases her new album.
The New York Times shared related information about the reason why Universal, the label Taylor Swift works with, had removed much of her work from TikTok.
“The company accused TikTok of being unwilling to pay a ‘fair value for music,’ despite its importance to the platform. Universal also expressed concern that TikTok was “allowing the platform to be flooded with AI-generated recordings,” they recalled on the newspaper’s website.
For a few months now, music owned by Universal could not be heard on the platform, which caused the meaning of the different content to be lost a little. Now everything produced between 2018 and 2024 will be available.
What is known about Taylor Swift’s new album?
The music star is preparing the release of his next album, which he titled ‘The Tortured Poet’s Department’.
This material will be released on April 19 and promises to be a new opportunity for the public to connect, through music, with the artist’s feelings.
The emotion is such that many have speculated what these songs will be about and, as is quite likely, many of the lyrics will revolve around love or lack of love, thus helping fans identify with situations that Taylor Swift may have experienced.
