Manolo Caro has managed to position himself as one of the most prominent producers of the moment and declared that he has no interest in working with actress Angélica Rivera on his projects. He explained that he prefers to work with artists who are focused on his career and not just his fame. Although he recognizes her talent, considers that there are others with more commitment and dedication in the industry.
“I would not work with Angélica Rivera; I have nothing against her, but she is not an actress I am interested in working with. To me, this thing of mixing politics and things that concern us all, as citizens, seems better to keep at a distance, on the sidelines. May your projects go very well. I think they were talking about her coming back, and well, people love her very much, her novels were very successful. We have to see over the years what her return would be like,” she said during a meeting with the media.
It is important to highlight that Manolo knows that Angélica has a great talent for which she managed to cross the screens of Mexico and thus become famous with soap operas such as ‘Destilando Amor’, only that from his perception everything goes much further and it was because of the person with the one who was married.
“I don’t do anything less than what she does than what other types of colleagues do, but they are different careers. I don’t know (about her professional attributes) because I have never had the opportunity to share the set or see her perform live in a play. I remember his soap operas, of course; “I liked Paper Dolls,” he said.
The reporters did not hesitate to ask him if it would be the same case with the actress’s daughter and he immediately clarified his point of view on the matter: “With Sofía at some point yes, I like her very much, she is very educated, she is charming and we have many friends in common.”
