Sergio Sepúlveda confirmed this morning that his friend and colleague Ricardo Casares had a heart attack minutes before starting the program. Come the Joy is the “morning show” on TV Azteca in which Cásares shares credits with Capi Pérez, Pato Borghetti, Kristal Silva, Tabata Jalil, Mauricio Barcelata and chef Mariano Sandoval.

According to Sepúlveda and Pato, Ricardo served as his own hero Upon detecting that the pain he felt in the center of his chest was not like any he had felt in the past, this allowed everyone to react in time and take him to an emergency hospital near the channel’s facilities. The driver had pain in his chest and right hand.

They also confirm that now that he was treated, he had an operation that lasted two hours and that at the moment the driver is in stable condition. Patricio assures that the program reacted as a team, paying attention to everything he needed to facilitate prompt attention to him. Tabata herself contacted the cardiologist who was already waiting for Cásares at the hospital, prior to his admission to facilitate his care.

Pato, a friend of Casares, highlights that the best thing about all this is that Ricardo presented these pains while on the channel and not just at home. “Let’s hope this was just a scare,” the Argentine said through tears for the Ventaneando cameras.

Casares’ father, Mr. Ricardo Casares Zavala, stated that his son had a blocked coronary artery and for this reason they placed a stent and at the moment the diagnosis is favorable.

The Argentine driver also reported that Ricardo currently cannot receive visitors at the hospital, at least not for two days. And he also urged the public to join them in a prayer chain for the speedy recovery of his friend.
