Xavier Worthy, former Texas Longhorns receiver, broke this Saturday the 40-yard dash record ‘NFL Scouting Combine’ which takes place at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts.
Worthy, 20 years old, He covered the distance in 4 seconds and 21 hundredths and improved the mark of 4.22 set by the current receiver of the champions Kansas City Chiefs, John Ross, which dated back to 2017.
Since 1928, the league organizes the ‘NFL Scouting Combine’ in which the best talents in college football undergo various skills tests before the coaches of the 32 teams with the intention of convincing them to select them in the Draft.
The ‘NFL Scouting Combine 2024’, in which just over 300 players, started last February 29 and will conclude on March 3.
Xavier Worthy captured the spotlight of the day in his second attempt at the 40-yard test, in the first he stopped the clock at 4.25 seconds.

The other favorite quarterbacks to be drafted early are North Carolina’s Drake Maye; Jayden Daniels, 2023 Heisman Trophy winner with the LSU Tigers; and Jonathan James McCarthy, 2023 national champion with the Michigan Wolverines.
