Graham Potter, who was until this week manager of Brighton in the Premier League, would have a verbal agreement with Chelsea to be technical director from this weekend, according to various portals in England.

This occurs after Thomas Tuchel was fired after the crisis that Chelsea is experiencing in the current season in which he has two defeats and a draw in the Premier League and lost 1-0 with Dinamo Zagreb at the start of the Champions League.

Potter, 47, has been singled out for his style of play this season with Brighton Albion, which is in fourth position in the Premier League with four wins, one draw and one loss.

This will be Potter’s third job in England, after spells at Swansea and Brighton, whom he has managed for the last three seasons. Potter will be the first manager signed after the Roman Abramovich era by the club’s American owners.

Potter was for the last four seasons in the Brighton team in which the first two campaigns fought to avoid relegation, but in the last campaign he was in ninth place and showed a great style of play.

Chelsea will have to straighten their course for the following matches. ANDhe next rival will be Fulham, recently promoted, then Salzburg in the Champions League and then Liverpooll, who is also in a similar crisis of results, although Klopp said he was not afraid for his work and knows that there will be patience.

The Blues were the team that spent the most this year in signings with more than $282 million dollars. Players Wesley Fofana, Cucurella and Raheem Sterling have cost more than $50 million. The latest acquisition was that of Pierre Emerick Aubemayang, which cost $12 million and made his Champions League debut on Tuesday.
