Chiquibaby explained that her obsession with staying thin led her to undergo strict diets and exercise excessively, which caused her health to deteriorate. It was at that moment when she realized that she needed help and began to seek the necessary support to overcome her problem.

“I wasn’t healthy, because there came a point, around age 16, that this was a shock, I don’t think I’ve ever said it,” he mentioned in the program he shares with his comadre Adamari López.

The presenter emphasized the importance of talking openly about eating disorders and seeking professional help if necessary, since they are disorders that can have serious consequences for the physical and mental health of those who suffer from them.

“I missed my period. There is a condition called amenorrhea, so when you are 16, almost 17 years old, and your period goes away, I mean in my house they put Jesus in your mouth. My mother sat in the living room: ‘Daughter, we have to talk, your period hasn’t arrived.‘” she added about how delicately her health was affected when she was a young girl.

Through her testimony, Chiquibaby wanted to raise awareness among her followers about the importance of taking care of their health in a comprehensive way and seeking help when necessary. Her bravery in speaking out on such a delicate and personal topic was praised by her colleagues and her audience, who admire her for her strength and determination to overcome this difficult stage of her life.

“When I start living an independent life, I start to love myself more, my self-esteem goes up, and I started to take care of myself. Little by little I went down, and at some point they even said that I had had surgery, but no, that was not the case,” he explained during the conversation they had.
