Vacancy: Wardrobe Assistant, Part Time – Walt Disney World
This is an opportunity to join the Disney team as a Wardrobe Assistant. In this role, you would provide specialized wardrobe services for entertainment offerings in The Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line. You would make decisions in the moment to support the execution of shows, such as wardrobe repairs or deliveries. Additionally, you would assist the seamstresses in preparing and attending costume fittings.

Responsibilities:
- Label, dye, airbrush and perform shoe repairs
- Basic hand sewing, washing, ironing, repairing and preparing costume lines for shows
- Operate special clothing care equipment (steamers, industrial steam irons, etc.)
- Pack costumes for shipping and fill out paperwork for tracking and inventory
- Pick up and deliver show costumes for repairs, alterations, assist with costume fittings
- Collaborate with the Seamstresses to prepare and assemble the costumes and accessories for the test
Credits: Disney Basic requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have and maintain a valid US driver’s license.
- One (1) year of experience in a Costume Department or two (2) years of related experience
- Proficient experience with costume craft work including repairs, painting and beautifying
- Willing to drive a company vehicle, including an automatic transmission box truck
- Willing to work with and around costumes made of natural and/or synthetic materials such as fur, latex and mylar
Preferred skills:
- Costume experience in a theatrical or themed entertainment capacity
- Experience with quick wardrobe alterations including hand sewing, button repairs, zipper repairs, gluing, mending and more
