Principal functions:

  • ·Provide members and guests in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all marina docks and work areas Perform minor maintenance and repairs, under the direction of Marina administration, on docks, dock cars, side loaders, courtesy docks and associated equipment
  • Conduct daily dock checks on vessels using Club facilities to ensure they are using assigned docks and authorized utilities.
  • Assist members with launching and retrieving cargo vessels, equipment and supplies, proper mooring at assigned dock
  • Challenge all arrivals to have adequate clearance and register all arriving members and guests
  • Respond to emergency and safety situations within the marina
  • Responsible for VHF radio contact with ships
  • Stay informed on all weather forecasts and advise as necessary
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned by Navy management

Fuel operations:

  • Immerse fuel tanks every day. Take daily fuel pump readings and reconcile fuel tickets as directed
  • Safely fuel vessels as you will learn in Class C training.
  • Maintain tool inventory

Pool operations:

  • Pool maintenance including brushing, netting, gutter and tile cleaning. Put the robot vacuum cleaner in and out of the pool and clean its filters
  • Supervise contractors for all deep pool system repairs and maintenance
