Assad, 26 years old, achieved his third victory of the season this Sunday against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Javier Assad made a total of 94 pitches, 58 of them for strikes. This was his second longest opening of the season after pitching 6.0 innings in his first appearance of the campaign.
Assad is 3-0 with a 1.66 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 7 appearances this season. The Mexican is the leader in effectiveness in the Majors, followed by the Venezuelan Ranger Suárez (Phillies).
The Mexican pitcher has not allowed more than two runs in his seven starts this season.. In the last 21 innings, Assad has only allowed five runs and just one home run.

Dodgers sweep Atlanta at Shohei Ohtani show
The Dodgers swept the Braves with a resounding victory led by Japanese Shohei Ohtani, who contributed two home runs, in the first inning and in the eighth, to add ten this season.
Dominicans Teoscar Hernández and Marcell Ozuna also ran the diamond after a home run. Ozuna’s was the only run that went up the scoreboard by Atlanta, in the seventh inning, making up for a disastrous day at bat.
Much of the credit for stopping the Braves in this way went to James Paxton, who allowed only five hits and one run in 6.2 innings.
