We talk with Elyfer Torres and Carolina Miranda, two of the actresses who make up the second season of “Mujeres Asesinas” which can be seen through ViX. People who, with their work, dignify the voices of the victims that society abandoned many years ago. Actresses who decided to delve into the toughest roles of their career, in order to expose the violence that continues to be experienced today in Latin America and many other parts of the world.

This first approach with the production also gave us the opportunity to talk with Marisa Grinstein, journalist and writer of these stories, who told us how over the years she has had to learn to live with what she has seen and heard from These women, human beings, who were terribly victims of not only violent partners but also manipulative parents and hostile bosses.

First of all, it should be noted that the series tells the lives of eight women who saw how their lives became a true hell, because of men who never hesitated to exercise all types of violence against them, bringing them to a total point. of hopelessness and abandonment. Women who, once hope was lost, connected with their most visceral side in the process of surviving, with the only hope of ending the lives of their perpetrators in self-defense.

In this first interview, both Elyfer, as with Marisa, both recognize the importance of dignifying their stories in the second season of “Mujeres Asesinas”pointing out that in each of these cases the justice system failed them.

As an actress, Elyfer brings Rosario to life, a complex character that allowed her to encounter this social rage that women in Latin America experience for defending their roots, origins, race and culture. In this story, she defends herself against attacks on her race, and above all, she fights to protect what she loves most in this life, which is her son.

Both Marisa and Elyfer went through strong emotional moments in this job. For the writer and journalist, it is difficult not to break down in the face of the pain of human beings who found no other way to stay alive than by ending the life of her attacker, a crime for which all of them are still in prison.

Carolina Miranda is Esmeralda

For Carolina Miranda it was of utmost importance to be able to give life to Esmeraldabut he also states that doing so was very hard, because in his real life he is a very empathetic person. However, beyond his personal suffering, he recognizes that this is without a doubt one of the most special roles of his career.

The actress reflects on the line between surpassing her own limits as an actress and the limits that others have faced, expressing her despair for those who could not cross that line like Esmeralda herself. Carolina is grateful that her work in this production is being so well received and praised, but at the same time she feels bad, because this is something that did happen and it is heartbreaking.
