Messi is a border collie and plays the dog Snoop in the film, where the protagonist, Sandra Hüller, plays a woman who is taken to trial after the death of her husband.
However, even though Messi’s role was recognized at a festival of the stature of Cannes, his participation in the Oscar ceremony faltered, but pressure on social networks finally made the organizers relent.
