Emmanuel ‘Manu’ Ginobili ended one of the greatest, most unique and exemplary basketball careers in the world on August 27, 2018.; A total of 23 years as an active player saw him become a benchmark in Latin America and especially in the city of San Antonio alongside the Spurs in the best basketball league in the world, the NBA.

A new stage in Ginobili’s life
“I feel great and enjoying things that I couldn’t do more than 20 years ago. I’m great, I don’t miss it at the moment and I can be in Bahia in November and Decembersomething that I couldn’t do with time since ’94. I’m coming to spend the summer here, it’s been a long time since I could do it, I’ll go to Monte Hermoso, I’ll be in Bahia, I’ll go see my in-laws, a little bit everywhere and enjoying the Argentine heat, since it was always July or August for me.”
Ginobili continued to be part of the San Antonio Spurs since September 2021 in the technical direction and also as an operations advisor. and development of the franchise’s youngest and most promising players, work he does alongside his coach during his time as an active player, the living legend, Greg Popovich.
Ginobili has been clear in letting it be known that he does not miss working in basketball as a player, but that he does love a new stage in his life. where he is experimenting and doing things that he couldn’t do for more than 20 years and he is living them to the fullest. An example of this was as he showed on his official Instagram account through one of his stories, the man from Bahia demonstrated his skills as an artist with the brush and the canvas.
“Working on my first masterpiece,” Ginobili wrote in one of the two photos he shared.. In the first photograph you can see the former guard from behind, sitting in front of a board and a drawing with a silhouette of an animal. In the second he let it be known that it was a llama, to which he added the emoji of a hat and dark sunglasses.
“Sotheby’s better be ready for this one,” he commented in mockery in relation to the auction house.mostly works of art and other collectible objects.
New adventures and total enjoyment
Manu has also been seen playing tennis matches with former teammates such as Tony Parker and Tim Duncan.the other two members of the so-called Big Three with whom they won a total of 4 rings in the NBA in San Antonio.
Manu also takes time to enjoy his free time traveling the world: from Puerto Pirámides in Chubut, to the Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, but always having time and space to visit and enjoy his native Bahía Blanca and the beaches of Monte Hermoso located 100 kilometers from there.
