In Sonora, it was just this type of connection that made a couple choose their dog as their wedding witness.
Through social networks, photographs of Rogelio, a Chihuahua breed dog who not only attended his owners’ wedding, but also signed as a witness to the marriage, have gone viral, with his footprint being part of the official document.
Its owner Rene Gabriel was the one who shared the images through his Facebook account with the following message:
“Little animals open our minds and hearts. They teach us to love, to give ourselves, to take responsibility… A beautiful little thing. Many people see them as simply animals. But animals are humans who do not know how to appreciate it as part of the system of nature. We have to speak to them with love and we will feel that love back,” she expressed.
He assured that for both him and his now wife, Rogelio, he is part of the family, since they consider him as their own son, so it was important that he be part of their wedding that took place on January 17.
It should be noted that when it was shared on networks, they faced various opinions, from those who loved the dog’s participation and even thanked the couple for loving Rogelio so much to those who called the action “ridiculous” and unnecessary.

Meanwhile, René, his wife and Rogelio thanked the positive messages and assured that those negative messages against them would not affect them in any way, since they only care about their happiness.
