Tammy Parra receives criticism

This supposed decoration divided the comments on social networks, as some of his fans showed support while others questioned the contribution of inclusion to both Mexican and Colombian society.

“Being from Colombia, I am shocked that they give these decorations” and “Really, this recognition does not make any sense” are some comments that were seen on her Instagram account.

During the ceremony where she was awarded the recognition, it was mentioned that Tammy Parra was the first international influencer to be honored in Colombia “for empowering women in all economic and social areas.”

Days later, the Colombian House of Representatives explained that The Congress of the Republic did not give official decorations to the influencersincluded Tammy Parraas shown on social networks.

They clarified that the recognitions were not granted directly by Congress, but by private companies that borrow spaces within the Colombian venue for different types of events.

Due to this controversy, the House of Representatives said that Spaces will no longer be loaned to private organizations that do not have institutional support.
