TidalWave Comics, a pioneer in the world of biographical comics, announced this Monday that it will launch a new installment of its acclaimed series ‘Female Force’, dedicated to female empowerment, this time with Taylor Swift as the protagonist.

Written by Michael Frizell and illustrated with manga art by Luciana Fidelis, the 22-page ‘Female Force: Taylor Swift’ explores the challenges the global artist has faced, and her triumphs in the fields of philanthropy and creativity, as she explains a press release.

“’Taylor Swift: The Sequel’ is a fun book that focuses on some of the challenges she has faced in the industry and how she has solved them,” said writer Michael Frizell. “I love kinetic art and the cover is beautiful. “I am proud of this book,” he added.

The comic will consist of a unique cover, featuring Taylor Swift with her cats, highlighting her advocacy for animal rights and her rumored role in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film with Deadpool and Wolverine.

The hardcover features a cover designed by Marvel Comics artist Pablo Martinena.

This latest addition to the ‘Female Force’ series joins a roster of all-female influencers celebrated by TidalWave, including Dolly Parton, Tina Turner, Gloria Steinem, Selena, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey and most recently Shakira, among others.

‘Taylor Swift: The Sequel’ will be available starting April 24 in softcover and hardcover editions, and a percentage of sales of the comic will be donated to the Humane Society, according to the publishing company.

Editor Darren G. Davis emphasizes the importance of comics and graphic novels as essential reading, and shares his personal journey from reluctant reader to fan of the medium. “I think comics and graphic novels should be essential reading,” he said.

In addition to ‘Female Force,’ TidalWave Comics offers a wide range of titles available for digital download on various platforms, including over 300 biographical comics.
