Viacrucis almost ended in tragedy: Jesus’ interpreter collides with power cables [Video]

The representation of the Passion of Christ is one of the most important traditions of Christianity, but sometimes these events can cause serious accidents, as happened this March 30 in Guatemala.

Through social networks, images were released of the moment when the cross on which the man who plays Jesus was found collides with electrical power cables.

According to local media Prensa Libre, the incident took place in Colomba Costa Cuca, department of Quetzaltenango.

In the video of just 26 seconds you can see an important group of people who were witnesses of the performance on a street in the South American country, while in the background you can see the man that represents Jesus being raised on the cross in an area where there are some cables of electric power.

But suddenly elevation does not turn out as planned and the cross begins to wobble between the cablingso suddenly a short circuit and sparks come out of the cables.
