2-year-old boy died after bounce house went airborne and crashed in Arizona – La Opinion

Authorities reported that A 2-year-old boy died Saturday when the bounce house he was playing in was blown away by a gust of wind and crashed into a neighboring lot in Arizona.

The giant inflatable went airborne around 5 p.m. with several children, including the baby, inside, the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said, according to the Arizona Republic.

The 2-year-old boy was rushed to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries. A second minor suffered non-life-threatening injuries.according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities described the incident as a “tragic accident.”

“We would like to extend our sincere thoughts and prayers to the grieving family,” the office said, according to Fox 11.

The minor, identified by a family friend as Bodhi, is the son of a Phoenix firefighterthe body said in a publication instagram.

“To add to the unimaginable hell you have been through the last two days, [los padres] Karl and Cristy are expecting a child at the end of May,” wrote Phoenix Firehouse 25 online.

A fundraiser has been started for the distraught family and has so far raised more than $83,000.

“As a community, we want to offer our support and ease the financial burden that accompanies these types of tragedies. “Your donations will help Karl and Cristy focus on grieving their beloved Bodhi as they prepare for the new chapter of their lives,” a family friend wrote.
