Cruz Azul is close to making Jorge Sánchez’s return to Liga MX official. The Mexican midfielder would end his contract with Ajax and would arrive at the Blue Machine.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Jorge Sánchez will arrive at the cement club for a price of $3 million dollars.
This would be Cruz Azul’s second attempt to bring Jorge Sánchez back to Mexican soccer after failing a pass in the last transfer period.
Sánchez this year played in 14 games out of a possible 28 with Porto which was very far from the top of the Portuguese championship.
This will be the return of Jorge Sánchez after his time with América and Santos Laguna. With the Águilas he won a Mexico Cup, Apertura Tournament and Champion of Champions.
With Santos Laguna he played a total of 39 games and won a Clausura Tournament.
Jorge Sánchez commented on the transfer that fell in winter
