This Monday, March 25, HBO has reported that filming of the third season of ‘Euphoria’ has been suspended. Since last year, it was planned that the continuation of the successful series would begin filming during the first half of 2024.

The statement sent by the HBO network says: “HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season. In the meantime, we are allowing our highly sought-after cast to pursue other opportunities.”

It seems that the intention is that Levinson, creator of ‘Euphoria’, will have more time to create a good script for the third season. It must be remembered that the second season premiered in January 2022 and from that moment until now its protagonists have been in the news on several occasions.

Zendaya, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney are some of the names that have not stopped sounding within the film and television industry in the last two years. That is why the statement pays special attention to the permission they are giving to their “so-requested cast.”

It must also be remembered that Angus Cloud, in charge of playing Fezco in the series, passed away July 31 of last year. Without a doubt his death has made the screenwriter rethink his story and make adjustments to his character.

It may be that the production of the third season is scheduled for 2025.

Meanwhile Zendaya is experiencing the success of ‘Dune: Part Two’a film directed by Denis Villeneuve that has been a box office success. AND Sydney Sweeney appears on the cover of several magazinesbecause she could become the new favorite actress of many.
