The Liga MX Clausura Tournament is about to end and the Liguilla is almost defined. América assumed the lead and several teams are still in the fight for the play-in.

With two days left, five teams are registered in the next phase: América, Toluca, Cruz Azul, Rayados de Monterrey and Necaxa.

For their part, Santos Laguna, Mazatlán FC, FC Juárez, Atlético de San Luis, Atlas, TIjuana and Puebla are already eliminated without qualifying opportunities.

Pachuca, Tigres, Chivas, Pumas, Querétaro and León They are in the fight for five spots, so one will be eliminated without a chance to go to the Play-In.

If it ended like this, León would be eliminated without any chance.

What would be the Play-In matchups?

The first duel would be Tigres, current runners-up in Liga MX, against Fernando Gago’s Chivas de Guadalajara.

Both teams have 25 points in the table, so this position could change and thus the venue for a hypothetical Play-In.

Pumas UNAM would face Gallos Querétaro in the other duel. These two teams are located in ninth and tenth place with 23 units respectively. Pumas would have the home field advantage.

The winner of the first key gets the ticket to the Liguilla, while the loser must face the winner of the second to define the pass.

Which team do you expect to be a rival for the Liguilla?

América in first place would face the first classified of the Play In. For their part, the Red Devils of Toluca will face the second place team.

Rayados de Monterrey will play against Pachuca de Salomón Rondón, two teams that are still alive in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

The fourth and last duel would be between Cruz Azul and the Rayos del Necaxa. With two days left to play, some positions could change places and in turn the duels.

América assumes the lead with a rout of Toluca

The Mexican champion América extended its dominance this weekend on the fifteenth day of the Clausura tournament with the 5-1 win they gave to Toluca.

The new leader of the tournament completed 32 points on Saturday thanks to the doubles signed by the Chilean Diego Valdés and the Colombian Julián Quiñones, in addition to the goal from Henry Martín.

Toluca was left with 29, the same ones that Monterrey now has, who tied 3-3 with Tigres, and Cruz Azul, victorious in their visit to Puebla (0-1).
