Czech Perez got the fifth fastest time in training this Thursday at the Jeddah circuit, days before the Saudi Arabian Grand Prixthe second of the season Formula 1.
Even though it was not in the Top 3, The Mexican described his performance as positive in the race, since allowed him to realize what he needs to improve for next Saturdaywhen he competes on the second date of the world championship of the queen of motorsports.
“I think we are in a good position with the car and as far as our performance is concerned.so it has been a very positive day,” said Sergio Pérez, who finished in second place in the first Formula 1 race in its 2024 season.
“We have to fine-tune well, but I am happy in the window in which we have the car and we understand what we need with a view to Friday. We have a pretty good idea of the direction we need to take to make the car faster; and if we achieve it, it will benefit the long runs and qualifying“added last year’s runner-up after free practice on the Jeddah track.
“I am very satisfied with this day. The key will be to make everything fit in the classification, that will be the main objective; and we will see what we are capable of,” he said.
“The first sector is very fast and can be scary if you encounter traffic there. So we’ll need some clean laps. I’m already looking forward to the day,” Checo concluded, probably remembering that he won on this track a year ago.
