Jaime Lozano defends the call of the Mexican National Team: “There are those who have to be there” – La Opinion

The Mexican coach, Jaime Lozano, spoke after the names of the 23 players with whom El Tri were known will be playing in the Final Four of the Concacaf Nations League next Thursday against Panama at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.

The Mexican strategist, in an interview given to the press department of the national team, defended his call-up and acknowledged that there were some surprises that he ended up considering due to the good moment that the players were showing in their respective teams.

“It will always be difficult to make a list, to leave out people who have been doing things well and who deserve to be there. Unfortunately for this competition we can only take 23 players and that is what ties us hand and foot to have players available.”commented Jaime Lozano.

“It seems to me that those who are there are those who should be there at this moment, players that we know, some others who had a good time without being in a call, but it seems to me that he is going through a good moment with his team and that is important ”added the Mexican strategist.

The words of Jaime Lozano They can be understood as a response to the criticism that he recently received on social networks from Mexican fans who demanded the presence of players such as Alan Mozo, Jonathan dos Santos, Marcel Ruíz, Víctor Guzmán and Guillermo Martínez, among others who stayed outside the call.

“We have those we wanted, fortunately they all have the availability and the desire to be there. It is also a tournament that we have not been able to win, it has been played twice and we hope that the third time will be the good one for Mexico.”said the technical director, referring to the two titles achieved by the United States in the competition.
