Shakira He reveals that his two children have inherited his taste for music, but it is Milan, his firstborn, who has gotten the most out of it, especially when he has to go through difficult times.
In an interview for the podcast of music producer Zane Lowe, the singer revealed that when her love breakup with Gerard Piqué occurred, the boy composed some songs and in this way found the ideal way to vent.
“I remember that he wrote two beautiful songs during the entire separation process, he composed the lyrics and then he played the music on the piano. When he feels depressed that is what he does, that is also his catharsis and his therapy“said Shakira.
Likewise, the Colombian said she was very proud of her son’s recent debut on stage, as it is worth remembering that the 11-year-old performed with his rock band at a musical event in Miami and he served as the drummer.
Shakira demands privacy for her children
It is worth remembering that during the months closest to her public separation with Gerard Piqué, Shakira had to ask, demand, privacy for her children.
Through her Instagram account last April, the “Día De Enero” interpreter wrote a message to the press in which she requested that they not chase Milan and Sasha when they leave school or do any extracurricular activity.
“Now that my children are beginning a new stage in their lives, I strongly ask all media outlets to please respect their right to privacy. I trust that journalists and photographers are sensitive to the situation that Milan and Sasha face and can behave in the most humane way possible with them.“Shakira wrote.
Finally, the Colombian assured that her message is not given as an artist, but as a mother who wants to protect and care for the well-being of her children so that they can live a healthy and happy life, just as every child deserves.
