The next edition of Miss Universe will be held in El Salvador. This information was confirmed by Nayib Bukelecurrent president of the Central American country, during the 71st edition of the contest.
Minutes before the final result of the contest was given, a message from Bukele was transmitted in which he gave the news and invited everyone to El Salvador.
“It is a great honor for me to announce that El Salvador will be the official host of the next Miss Universe event to celebrate at the end of this year”, said Bukele.
He went on to say: “El Salvador is a country full of beauty. It has the best beaches in the world for surfing, imposing volcanoes, exquisite coffee and now it has become the safest country in Latin America”.
Bukele too thanked the organization of Miss Universe for accompanying him and the country in a historic process. “El Salvador is changing and we want you to come experience it,” concluded the president.
The video shared by Bukele on his Twitter account generated good comments and thanks from the inhabitants of the countrywho also appreciate the change to where it is destined.
The Miss Universe organization is also headed for a change, as it must be remembered that in October 2022 transgender businesswoman Anne Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip paid $20 million for the organization.
During the 71st edition of the contest, she also gave a speech in which she referred to complete women capable of changing the world.
In a press conference that the businesswoman gave last year, she said that an “international and inclusive organization that celebrates women of all profiles, cultures and traditions” was sought.
