With a masterful Josh Allen, The Buffalo Bills prevailed this Thursday with great authority by 10-31 to the Los Angeles Ramsreigning Super Bowl champions, at the start of the 2022 NFL season.

The first match of the new course was presented as a major duel between two teams that appear on the list of great contenders for the ring.

On the one hand, the Bills, winners of the AFC East for the past two years, are listed as the number one betting favorites to win the Super Bowl while the Rams have kept much of the block that led them to victory and remain a fearsome rival in the NFC.

The SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles was the venue where the Rams took the Super Bowl last Februaryhosted this inaugural meeting on a very hot afternoon in the Californian city and also served for the locals to present the Vince Lombardi trophy and the champion’s banner to their fans.

But the Bills crashed the Rams’ party later.

With a sweeping second half that left the Rams scoreless, the Bills signed a fantastic victory thanks to his quarterback John Allen, superb with 26 of 31 passing for 297 yards56 rushing yards by himself, three touchdown passes, two interceptions and a rushing touchdown.

Instead, the Rams quarterback, Matthew Stafford had a very difficult afternoon against the Bills’ rocky defense -led by Von Miller and his two sacks- and finished 29 of 41 in passes for 240 yards, a touchdown pass, three interceptions and was sacked seven times.

The incontestable victory of the Bills also ended the streak of Sean McVay, who had five consecutive wins in the first game of the course since he was named Rams coach in 2017.

Josh Allen strikes first

On his first long drive, Josh Allen confidently and judiciously propelled his offense for 75 yards (9 plays) until Gabriel Davis scored his team’s first touchdown of the game and of the NFL season.

Allen gave a 26-yard touchdown pass to Davis after a perfect distraction on third-and-one.

He did not show too much affection for his former teammates and captured Matthew Stafford in a first quarter that ended without Los Angeles goals.

With a Tyler Bass field goal, those of Buffalo increased their advantage (0-10) but little by little, Stafford, who has had elbow problems during the summer, began to carburize.

Thus, Cooper Kupp got his first touchdown of the course from a pass from Stafford in an association that shone with its own light last year (7-10) and, with a field goal from Matt Gay, the Rams tied the game at halftime (10- 10).

Buffalo Bills sentence with huge Allen

With a 58-yard drive and Allen back at the wheel, fully controlling the game -even running himself if necessary-, the visitors managed a new touchdown thanks to Isaiah McKenzie (10-17).

Instead, Allen seemed more and more comfortable. Thus, and in another patience drive, the quarterback dazzled with a 47-yard pass to Davis and, already with the ball six yards from the end zone, finished off the job in style with a rushing touchdown (10- 24).

Stafford took more risks until he ran into a new interception and Allen, already in the last set, once again left SoFi Stadium speechless with a fabulous 53-yard pass to Stefon Diggs, who sealed another touchdown to close out a perfect night for the Bills.
