Timothy Bradley on Ryan García’s mental health: “He’s crying out for help” – La Opinion

Timothy Bradley was concerned about mental health and commitment of Ryan Garcia for his fight with Devin Haney on April 20 in New York. For the former world champion and now commentator, King Ry is crying out for help because he doesn’t want to continue boxing.

Speaking to ProBox TV, Bradley believes that the confrontation with Haney will not happen because it seems to him that García is not training and also commented that It’s sad that no one around him helps him because he’s going down the wrong path.

“Ryan García is not a fighter. He is a celebrity and Hollywood will get its way. It’s sad because there is no one close to him who can tell him the truth and help guide him. He knows that he is going wrong, and that is the reason why he always mentions God. I think he’s crying out for help because he really doesn’t want to do this. “He just wants the money and he loves the celebrity lifestyle, but he doesn’t really want to box,” he said.

“You can tell by his voice and the way he talks that he is nervous. You can feel the anxiety in his speech. Again, he doesn’t want to do this. He enjoys the money part. He makes a lot of money outside of boxing. You don’t really have to do this, but you seem obligated to. He is going down the wrong path. It’s almost sad. I don’t think this fight will happen. I look at his face and his physique. It doesn’t look like he’s training. He will be seriously hurt if he continues to act this way,” he added.

Since the press conference in New York, the Californian’s behavior has been erratic. That same day, Devin Haney indicated that his rival was drunk and that he could smell his breath in the face-to-face. Shortly after, García He admitted that he was high on a live stream and that he smoked marijuana and drank like anyone else, which generated great controversy and doubts about what he has expressed on social networks.

At first it was thought to be a publicity tactic to promote the fight with Devin Haneybut his fans and ex-wife Drea Celin have shown concern for the Californian’s mental health and do not believe that his current behavior is simple trolling as he wanted to make it out to be.
