Luka Doncic became the first player in NBA history this Saturday with six consecutive triple-doubles with more than 30 points and his Dallas Mavericks beat the Pistons 124-142 in Detroit.
The Dallas genius dazzled with 39 points (13 of 24 on field goals, including a 4 of 13 in triples, and 9 of 10 from the personal line), 10 rebounds and 10 assists. He also contributed 2 blocks and 3 steals.
Doncic also had a brutal second quarter with 21 points. The only thing about him but his splendid recital in Detroit were his 6 turnovers (14 in total for Dallas).
Kyrie Irving added 21 points while Daniel Gafford and Tim Hardaway Jr. They contributed 17 points apiece for the Mavericks who are eighth in the West with a balance of 36-28.
Jason Kidd’s men shined in shooting at the basket (55.4% in field goals) but suffered on the rebound against the Pistons (36 compared to 56).
Cade Cunningham responded to Doncic in the Pistons and was one step away from the triple-double with 33 points, 9 rebounds and 10 assists.
The Detroit team was greatly hindered by its 20 turnovers, which led to 35 points for the Mavericks, and once again shares the worst record in the league (10-53) with the Washington Wizards.
