Rayados de Monterrey is once again the leader of the Liga MX after achieving a 2-1 victory over Mazatlán on matchday 11 of the Clausura Tournament.

Gerardo Arteaga and Germán Berterame were the scorers for Monterreywhile Luis Amarilla discounted for Mazatlán, which fell short.

Goalkeeper Esteban Andrada was one of the heroes for Monterrey with several important catches, including one in the final minutes when he stopped a shot by Alan Medina that would have tied the score.

Monterrey reached seven wins, four draws and 25 points, one more than the champion América of Brazilian coach Andre Jardine, who this Saturday defeated the runner-up Tigres UANL 2-0.

Monterrey and América were the ones that got the best results from a day in which Cruz Azul and Pachuca lost and dropped to third and fourth places, in that order.

The Blues of Argentine coach Martín Anselmi were swept by Santos Laguna, which added its third consecutive victory, with scores from Diego Medina, the Argentine Franco Fagúndez and Santiago Muñoz.

Monterrey will play this Thursday for the second leg of the round of 16 of the Concacaf Champions League. Rayados won the first leg against Cincinnati away from home 1-0 and will play the second leg at the BBVA Stadium.

What games will there be on date 12 of Liga MX?

Date 12 of the Liga MX will be marked by the Mexican soccer classic between Chivas de Guadalajara and América at the Akron Stadium.

The teams go through different moments. Chivas is in crisis with four defeats in five gameswhile América has half a foot in the quarterfinals of the Concachampions and is second in the Liga MX.

In another of the interesting meetingsCruz Azul and Necaxa will face each other in a duel to stay in the Liguilla positions, like Atlético San Luis vs. Pachuca.

Friday 15.03: Querétaro-Juárez FC and Tijuana-Santos Laguna.

Saturday 16.03: Cruz Azul-Necaxa, León-Puebla, Tigres UANL-Mazatlán and Guadalajara-América.

Sunday 17.03: Atlas-Monterrey, San Luis-Pachuca and Toluca-Pumas UNAM.
