Television producer Nicandro Díaz dies after suffering a serious accident – El Diario NY

The soap opera producer Nicandro Diaz He died this morning at the age of 60, in Cozumel, after suffering a serious accident on a jet ski.

The National Association of Actors (ANDA) was responsible for announcing the unfortunate departure of the Mexican through its social networks.

“The National Association of Actors deeply regrets the death of Producer Nicandro Díaz González. Receive our sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues who at some point worked with him. Rest in peace”.

Previously, the driver Andrea Legarreta had reported during the program “Hoy” that the producer, with a career of more than 30 years at Televisa, was injured in a hospital in Cozumel, so it was intended to transfer him to Cancun and then to a hospital in CDMX.

Various sources from the television emporium confirmed that the producer suffered multiple injuries and was induced into a coma, along with treatment that required blood transplant and therefore all types of donors were requested.

The last production in which Díaz worked was in the telenovela “Golpe de Suerte”, starring Mayrín Villanueva and Eduardo Yáñez, whose recordings concluded at the end of 2023.

Nicandro Díaz gained fame for his solid career in projects such as soap operas and stage productions. Among his most memorable titles are “Amores Verdaderos” (2012-2013), “Vivan Los Ninos!” (2002-2003), “Destilando Amor” (2007) and “Mi Fortuna es Amarte” (2021-2022).

Born in Monterrey, Nuevo León, on August 7, 1963, he began his professional career as an assistant in television productions, becoming executive producer until 1998 with the children’s soap opera “Gotita de Amor” (1999).

He began his career as a professional assistant to the Chilean producer Valentin Pimpsteinand worked with many stars such as Angélica Rivera, Edith González, Verónica Castro, David Zepeda, Christian Bach, Pedro Fernández, Lucero and Fernando Colunga, among others.
