After months of speculation and dozens of leaks, the first trailer for the sequel to “Beetlejuice”, called simply as “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”, was officially released.
It is worth mentioning that on March 20, the first images of the film directed by the legendary Tim Burtonwho once again positions herself as the “boss” of this new installment, where you can see the return of the actress Winona Ryderlike Lydia; Catherine O’Haralike Delia, as well as the addition of the performer of Latin origin Jenna Ortegaas Lydia’s alleged daughter, at what appears to be a funeral.
However, the absence of Michael Keatonlike the famous Beetlejuice, caused greater excitement among followers and fans of the 1988 film, who received the new material with great enthusiasm.
Beetlejuice returns
Despite being a little over a minute long, the first trailer for “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” generated a whole sea of theories due to the diversity of images and sequences included. In the main one, you can see the aforementioned Ryder, O’Hara and Ortega at a mysterious funeral while a group of children sing an a cappella version of the classic song “Tali Mi Banana (Day O)”, which forms part of one of the most remembered sequences from the original film.
Later you see Jenna Ortega take a bike ride through various locations where he lives, to finally discover a model of the city, which was also included in the 1988 film.
At the end of the trailer, and as a corollary to it, you can see Lydia enter the same room to see the iconic ghost, played by Michael Keatonwho utters the words: “Juice is back.”
It is worth mentioning that unlike other sequel productions, Keaton’s character does not seem modified or altered with special effects or rejuvenation. And thanks to the trailer, you can notice the passage of age in Michael Keatonindicating that the tape will respect the end of the previous one.
